In particular, I&#8217;ve always enjoyed his Serenade for Winds in C minor (K388), but it&#8217;s hard to get a group of 8 together to play chamber music on a regular basis. So you can imagine my excitement to learn that Mozart himself arranged the Serenade for a viola-quintet (K406), which translates really well back into a wind piece &#8211; for two oboes, two English horns, and bassoon! We played two movements from this past January in the Brockton Symphony chamber concert.
